Erin Wakeland is a multifaceted creative based in Detroit. After studying painting and fibers during her BFA degree at the University of Michigan, Erin won The BIG IDEA award to start a big project. she bought an abandoned home in Detroit to renovate into an artists’ residency + event space. Erin Embraces her many interests, which has shaped her art practice to be boundless and yet centered on community-building, handcraft, + hospitality.

Erin’s skills include carpentry, sewing, painting, project management, ART direction, production design and proficiency in the Adobe creative suite.
